SUMMARY:
As part of the Flood Brothers Team, the driver is responsible for transporting different types of goods to customer locations using heavy trucks. The driver is accountable for adhering to traffic and safety regulations while making timely deliveries.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Follow and maintain loading protocols and ensuring load stability throughout trips
- Inspect trucks before and after loading
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety concerns
- Assist in unloading cargo when delivery sites are understaffed
- Always adhere to traffic safety regulations and exercising caution when warranted
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving
COMPETENCY
- Knowledge and experience in DOT regulations
- Problem solving and time management skills
- Effective communication skills
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position holder generally works outside of an office environment. Will be required to visit different locations with varied environments based on the nature of business.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to walk, speak, stand and sit. Access and mobility in tight spaces. Occasionally lifting materials associated with the position up to 40 lbs. Correctable hearing and sight to normal limits.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least three years of related experience required.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Valid truck driving license
