The Donor Relations Manager will be responsible for comprehensive donor management and serve as the point of contact for all field staff and donors to answer questions, resolve issues and manage analysis relating to gift transactions, gift acknowledgement, donor stewardship, giving trends and data analysis. In addition, he/she will provide a key data management role in supporting the Resource Development Team to grow matching and employee gifts, compile donor information for reports and publications, conduct donor research to support key individual gift strategies, provide data analysis and list compilation for digital and direct marketing. This position will be required to collaborate throughout NKF to effectively provide a customer service mindset that honors the donor and moves the NKF mission forward.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the management of the Donor Advancement Director, the Donor Relations Manager performs the following functions, including but not limited to:

  • Maintain the interest of the donor and serve as a liaison with field and HQ staff to ensure prompt and accurate acknowledgement of all gifts.
  • Coordinate with RD, Finance and Salesforce departments to implement a comprehensive stewardship program including gift acknowledgments, recognition, and impact reporting.
  • Periodically manage and respond to donor development email requests within Salesforce inbox.
  • Serve as the point of contact to all donors with questions on gift acknowledgement, tribute and memorial notification and gift designation and work on prompt resolutions.
  • Manage in partnership with the Senior Manager of Development Operations dynamic reports within Salesforce and support data entry, maintenance and analysis on donor trends, campaign analysis and industry benchmarks.
  • Coordinate with Donor Advancement Director, Sr. Resource Development Director, Field Development Leadership, and Field Offices, the Manager will support and manage strategies to grow matching gift revenue and will be responsible for employee and employer data management.
  • Coordinate with Donor Advancement Director to conduct donor research to advance individual gift strategies.
  • Coordinate with Resource Development Team on list compilation for digital and direct mail campaigns.
  • Coordinate with SVP Field Development and CEO on specific donor research and analytics, donor gift reports, and key individual gift acknowledgement.
  • In collaboration with all departments, maintain a donor-centered mindset to enhance internal and external communications, moves management processes and effective service to all stakeholders.
  • Provide additional service as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree and 3-4 years of non-profit, fundraising and/or data management experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset.
  • Proficient in computer-based customer information systems with Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Experience with: Slack, Wealth Engine, Double the Donation a plus, but not required
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite with mastery of Excel.


WORKING CONDITIONS, EQUIPMENT USED AND SPECIAL INFORMATION

Must have unimpeachable integrity and trustworthiness and possess a high degree of tact, discretion, and professionalism. Verbal and written communication skills will be used daily. Maintains effectiveness under pressure. Uses a multiple line telephone, personal computer, fax machine, photocopier, and other standard office equipment. Must have a valid drivers license and own insured vehicle or daily access to a vehicle. Flexible for overnight business travel. Flexible to work evenings and weekends as needed.
