Document Controller

Role Summary:

A document controller is responsible for the timely, accurate & efficient preparation & management of documents. They control the proper arrangement of both electronic & hard copy documents produced by technical teams, projects







Essential Responsibilities:







Experience in managing internal and external document work

flows



Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and prioritize work

in the context of competing priorities



Attention to detail and precise record keeping / spreadsheet

management.



Maintain and administer the document control system



Ensure that document control protocols are in accordance

with project requirements.



Track documents and assist with all project documentation

between the client, contractors and distribution within GE



Maintain relevant registers and libraries



Collect, collate, file and archive management system records

and project documents



Update document/ drawing registers and obtaining relevant

approval for issue.



Ensuring that controlled copies of latest approved documents

and drawings are given to the appropriate staff, clients, subcontractors

and suppliers



Ability to create and implement project document management

processes



Ability to coach project team members in the use of Document

register and document control procedures



Establish and monitor all Document Control systems for the

program and/or project in compliance with GE document and records

management requirements.

























































































































































































Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

or equivalent experience (or a high school diploma / GED with significant

experience in Project Management).



Relevant experience of Executive Assistant



Relevant Product & EHS training certifications.



Relevant experience of 3-5 years

Strong collaboration skills: Have the ability to connect and

work together with all functions working on customer projects, understanding

key stakeholders key needs.



Project Management expertise.



Change management: positive mindset - maintains enthusiasm.

Understands the dynamic that drives the need for change. Can identify the

impact of change on key processes, structures and systems. Sensitive to the

change impact to various stakeholders.



Understanding of basic change acceleration process (CAP)

tools is a plus.



Schedule Management: Ensures schedule includes complete

identification of all project specific activities linked to document

management.



High Communication skills: Communicates with transparency

/adjusts the message to align with audience.



Strong IT skills in MS office including outlook, excel and

word.



Good attention to detail



The ability to multitask



Highly organized



Excellent communication skills



Proficient typing skills
