CDL Dispatcher

Looking to hire an enthusiastic, self-motivated dispatcher ready for a fast paced, exciting position. This person will be involved in problem solving, dispatching, warehousing, and much more! If this sounds like you, we would love to have you join our Rush family. Rush Transportation & Logistics is looking to hire a 1st shift CDL Dispatcher to join our awesome team! This position will be based out of our Dayton terminal located on Needmore Road.

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of Commercial Transportation experience

Dispatching Experience

Knowledge in DOT/FMCSA Regulations

Preferred Requirements:

Operations Management Experience

Experience working with Qualcom, Motive and CXT is a bonus

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Management

Responsibilities:

Strategically dispatch CDL runs to drivers

Communicating effectively with other departments and personnel, both internal and external

Building and fostering relationships with customers, company drivers and independent contractors

Fielding driver and customer calls

Fulfilling customer orders

Scheduling routes and/or services, along with checking on, and confirming with drivers their runs

Ensuring accurate and on-time deliveries

Monitoring productivity performance and metrics

Coordinating with Sales Team on set-up and delivery for customers

Track and report trailer locations daily

Accepting ownership in organizational goal achievement
