Leading this fulfillment team will provide you an opportunity to work in a space with rapidly changing guest and operational needs.

As the Director, Store Operations Store Fulfillment Engineering, you lead a team of engineers to design, test, optimize and implement process solutions for fulfillment services in support of the Stores as Hubs strategy. You will lead projects and initiatives aimed at continuously improving processes and creating productivity and efficiency gains for existing fulfillment services, such as Order Pickup, Drive Up, Grocery Pickup, and Ship from Store. You will also lead initiatives to operationalize new services most optimally and effectively. You will develop and establish engineer standards and best practices and work with your team to apply them across process design solutions. You will lead engineers to work closely with Fulfillment process owners and cross-functional partners to integrate engineering analysis and modeling services into business problem identification, process design, and problem resolution, ensuring that teams leverage data to support decision making and process implementation. You will look into the future for the fulfillment business and continuously identify process improvement opportunities for the Stores as Hubs strategy. Youll build personal connections and seek buy-in across all levels of the organization. Youll also make an impact as a strong leader who will teach, coach, and mentor others to integrate engineering standards into business solutions.

About You:

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent experiences.
  • 7+ years of practical experience in systems, industrial, or other equivalent engineering practices
  • 3+ years in fulfillment, supply chain or logistics
  • Experience in leading a team of engineers across a wide variety of projects
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information for practical applications
  • Able to effectively lead through conflict and competing priorities
  • Ability to establish and maintain cross-functional working relationships
  • Expert problem solver with an ability to structure complex & ambiguous projects into meaningful components and create a plan to solve them
  • Experience in data analysis techniques and tools, including experience in systems modeling and operations research
  • Ability to operate and adapt in an ambiguous and rapidly changing work environment
  • Experience in managing priorities and able to work in high-intensity situations with tight deadlines
  • Proactive in solving problems and strategy development
  • Green Belt Certified and/or demonstrated knowledge in utilizing various engineering optimization methods (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma)
  • Experience in Organizational Change Management (OCM) & Agile Mindset
  • MBA and/or Master in Engineering Desired
