Summary/Objective:


 


The Director of Marketing is responsible for increasing revenue through the oversight of inbound and outbound marketing initiatives and campaigns, as well as efforts to increase brand awareness, enhance and protect company reputation, facilitate community involvement and to otherwise solidify the companys position of among the most trusted organizations in the industry.


 


The position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing and requires strong technical, detail orientation, disruptive and critical thought, superior written and verbal communication skills and an unparalleled work ethic that delivers strong ROI.


 


Areas of Responsibility:



  • Develops marketing strategy by studying economic indicators; tracking changes in supply and demand; identifying customers and their current and future needs; and monitoring the competition.

  • Contributes to marketing effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to leadership; recommending options and courses of action; and implementing directives.

  • Obtains market share by developing marketing plans and programs for each product/service, directing marketing staff appropriately to achieve ROI KPIs.

  • Maintains relations with customers by organizing and developing specific customer retention marketing programs on and offline.

  • Provides short- and long-term market forecasts and reports by directing market research collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data.

  • Influences present and future products by determining and evaluating current and future market trends.

  • Influences evolvement of existing products/services by analyzing statistics regarding market development; acquiring and analyzing data; and consulting with internal and external sources.

  • Maintains and evolves use of CRM and ZoomInfo databases for clean data, identifying key accounts creating relevant campaigns and meeting KPI goals.

  • Provides marketing information by answering questions and requests in a timely manner.

  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.

  • Completes marketing department operational requirements and tasks by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.

  • Maintains marketing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

  • Maintains marketing staff job results by coaching and disciplining employees, and planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. 

  • Develops marketing staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by conducting online research, attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications on and offline, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

  • Contributes to company team effort by accomplishing related projects as needed.

Preferred Education and Experience:



  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Marketing or a related field

  • Proven working experience in digital marketing, particularly within the supply chain industry

  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns

  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate

  • Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels

  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments

  • Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, WordPress, QLIK, SpyFu, Bizable, Salesforce, Pardot, etc.)

  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools

  • Experience in setting up and optimizing PPC campaigns on all major search engines

  • Experience in setting up successful account-based marketing strategies

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints

  • Successful management of a Marketing team 



This is a full-time position.  Occasional evening and weekend work may be required. Moderate travel is expected for this position.
