About the Position:



 


The Director of Finance is responsible for directing the companys financial policies and overseeing all financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, planning, analysis, credit, insurance, and cash management. This position leads the financial accounting processes, to include general ledger reporting, budget variance analysis, accounts receivable and accounts payable. Provides support and recommendations to the companys leadership team and uses extensive experience and knowledge to plan and accomplish strategic financial goals. Ensures integrity and accuracy of financial operations, safeguarding companys assets and developing efficient business processes.


 


Responsibilities:



  • Develop financial models and analyze to support strategic acquisitions and initiatives

  • Prepare board meeting materials and provide critical insight into the focus and highlight areas

  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial forecasts, operating budgets, and strategic plans for board as well as bank covenants

  • Prepare TTM and FTM reporting schedules

  • Prepare and provide analysis on bank reporting covenants

  • Provide in-depth analysis on financial performance and root cause variances to forecasts

  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance

  • Develop strategic insights for the supported brands by performing analysis using internal and external data.

  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures.

  • Develop financial models and analyze to support strategic initiatives

  • Complete month end closing and forecast consolidations

  • Assist with financial reporting process

  • Assist with audit requests, SOX, and ad hoc reports



Required Education and Experience:



  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration is required

  • CPA preferred. MBA or relevant graduate degree a plus

  • Ten or more years of progressive accounting/financial management experience

  • Advanced experience with accounting software, Excel, Word, Outlook

  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

  • A highly motivated self-starter with the ability to manage concurrent assignments and function in time sensitive situations

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to identify opportunities for process improvements, as well as support ad hoc requests

  • Excellent analytical and communications skills

  • Ability to interact well with various organizational functions and personnel at all levels

  • Proven ability to focus on big picture without losing sight of small details

  • Self-motivated to learn new concepts and collaborate with others on special projects



This is a full-time position that is located at our HQ in Emerald Isle, NC.
