Job Description

Reporting to the Sr Director of Sales Operations, this individual will be responsible for leading and setting direction for the Commercial Analytics team and for leading innovation within Sales Operations to adapt to near-term and long-term changes in the healthcare marketplace. In the short-term, this will involve developing operational and analytical solutions linked to other commercial teams to support fully integrated go to market strategies and tactics for legacy, growth, and launch brands. For medium and long-term, this individual will focus on leading the required operational system and process innovations to support Tevas transformation toward new commercial models for continued success with evolving customers and stakeholders. These operational plans and road maps will be developed with other commercial colleagues to fully integrate customer facing & home office departments, channels, and tactics. The role requires strong pharmaceutical business acumen, strong communication skills, and experience leading pharmaceutical commercial planning, operations and analytics teams. The role also requires experience working closely with trade, contracting, and market access operations. As a leader, this individual is responsible for the vision, strategic plans, organizational design, development, and priorities for their team. This individual will also act as a strategic advisor on operational planning for VP Strategy & Commercial Operations.


  • Set the vision and direction for the Commercial Planning & Analytics team. Set priorities for internal resources and manage external spend effectively to optimize long-term success of key strategic growth & launch brands and profitability for legacy brands.
  • Establish and maintain a commitment to excellence within promotional planning and analytics by fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This requires a strong commitment to the coaching, retention, and professional development of team members.
  • Create an operational roadmap for evolving internal teams, processes, systems, external partners, communications, and annual operating budget to maximize commercial effectiveness through integrating Sales Operations with non-sales channels and customers.
  • Work closely with Commercial leadership to support shared objectives and integrated multi-team and multi-channel strategies. Evaluate related promotional effectiveness data and results to inform data-driven decisions by senior leadership.
  • Coordinate activities between Sales Operations and other Commercial colleagues to align priorities, processes, and timelines for all interdependent promotional projects & brand strategies.
  • Responsible for maintaining a strong collaborative relationship with other corporate functions including Information Technology, Finance, HR, Compliance, Legal, and Procurement to ensure the proper alignment of shared activities and adherence to standards and best practices within your team.
  • Support the creation of commercial strategies, annual budgets, and multi-year long range plans.

Education Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, or analytical fields


Education Preferred: MBA preferred


Experience Required:


  • 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry providing analytics and/or promotional planning in support of Biologic, Specialty Pharmacy, and Buy & Bill brands
  • 5+ years of experience leading, managing and developing direct reports
  • Have been highly effective in commercial operations roles creating and delivering operational and analytical solutions in support of brand marketing, market access, contracting, trade, sales, and related promotional operations
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of commercial data, analytics, and best practice across the pharmaceutical industry
  • Have worked effectively across functions as a team player to achieve common goals without hierarchy, politics or self-interest
