Job Summary | The University of Kentucky College of Social Work invites applications for an open-rank clinical faculty member to serve as the Director for Undergraduate Studies (DUS). The position reports directly to the dean and is a non-tenure track, nine (9) month academic appointment. In consultation with the Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Director of Advising, Director of Field Education and Experiential Learning, and others, the DUS will oversee the social work undergraduate program. The ideal candidate for this appointment is a dynamic, innovative and supportive leader with knowledge and experience dealing with contemporary educational landscapes impacting undergraduate social work students. Applicants should have an earned doctorate (e.g., PhD, DSW, etc.) and be able to accept the appointment on or about July 1, 2022, though earlier appointments are a possibility. DUS candidates should have some academic administrative and/or leadership experience. Applicants must include the following: 1) curriculum vitae, 2) letter of interest (upload as Cover Letter), overview of administrative/leadership philosophy (upload as Specific Request 1), and a one-page statement addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion as it relates to undergraduate education (upload as Specific Request 2). |
