Role Summary:The Director - Enterprise Data & Analytics is responsible for advancing the use of enterpise data in operational decisions. You will drive data democratization, data stewardship and governance, self-service data sets and analytics, while also owning the architectural roadmap for the enterprise data engineering team. Your solutions will accelerate GE Digital's lean transformation, delivering KPI-driven insights that help the business meet its commitments.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will own the digital thread of the business: from web inquiry to qualified lead to opportunity to quote to order to fulfillment to cash. You will leverage this connected dataset to model the business, highlighting bottlenecks in the cash conversion cycle. You will influence cross-disciplinary teams on solving business problems related to MDM, and help the business view data as an asset on the balance sheet versus a body of maintenance work. You will report directly to the CIO of GE Digital, and you will manage a team of 8-10 employees consisting of product managers, architects, developers, QA leads. You will employ Agile and DevOps to manage raodmaps & team delivery, and will meet specific ITIL standards for service desk activities.

Enterprise Data Analytics Portfolio:

+ Own the work portfolio for all enterprise data and analytics initiatives

+ Drive digital maturity in the data platform - graduating from descriptive to predictive to prescriptive solutions

+ Manage relationships across all business functions, driving platform adoption and increased rigor in data quality

+ Establish a cross-functional, cross-business data council and run ongoing op rhythms

+ Provide incremental views on all business KPI's (bowler charts that visualize the business to help meet annual targets

+ Develop data KPI's that drive improved usage patterns in our enterprise systems ecosystem

Data Engineering & Infrastructure

+ Run operations an AWS virtual private cloud, leveraging open source solutions to harden operations (that align to AWS roadmap

+ Build a small practice of AWS expertise (act as internal consultants to Product Engineering team

Lean/Agile Transformation

+ Create a lean-oriented culture that practices SAFe Agile software development

+ Finish the team's transformation toward Essential SAFe + DevOps

+ Define the path towards Portfolio SAFe

People Leadership

+ Coach GE employees on career navigation, managing conflict, and how to operate in a volatile, uncertain world

+ Develop systems and opportunities for continued employee education on Data technology, MDM and AWS best practices


Basic Qualifications

+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

+ A minimum 10 years of professional experience.

Eligibility Requirements

Desired Characteristics:

+ 5+ years of experience delivering business intelligence (BI) and analytics outputs

+ MBA preferred

+ Lean Six Sigma background preferred

+ Proven experience in an Agile + DevOps environments

+ Proficiency in at least one data programming language (R, Python, etc.)

+ Hands on experience working with database technologies, including Oracle, SAP, SQL / NoSQL platforms, visualization applications such as Spotfire or Tableau

+ Experience or demonstrated understanding of Customer Relationship Management (SFDC) and Enterprise Resource Planning (Fusion Cloud) ... exposure to both business process and underlying data models

+ Entrepreneurial inclination to discover novel opportunities for applying analytical techniques to business/scientific problems across the company

+ Demonstrated ability to lead in a highly matrixed environment

+ Demonstrated experience in IT product management, including across business units
