Job Description

 

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for leading Andas business development efforts to identify and evaluate new business opportunities that provide incremental revenues and profitability. This position is expected to interact with the Anda management team to provide cross-functional support and enterprise level input as new business concepts are introduced and investigated. This position will require high-level interactions with key stakeholders of potential business partners or acquisition candidates.

 

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

All areas of responsibility listed below are essential to the satisfactory performance of this position by any incumbents with reasonable accommodation if necessary. Any non-essential functions are assumed included in other related duties or assignments.

  • Develop an overall vision and strategy for identification of business growth opportunities.
  • Identify product, vendor and customer-specific opportunities and create innovative customer programs that differentiate Anda.
  • Work cross-functionally, both intracompany and intercompany, with management to ascertain business gaps and opportunities that support revenue growth and profitability.
  • Develop business cases, facilitate diligence and complete analyses necessary to evaluate business opportunities.
  • Negotiate services, business partnerships and/or acquisitions for approved new business opportunities

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education/Certification/Experience Required:

  • Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • 8+ years of experience in and knowledge of various distribution and selling channels
  • 8+ years of experience in business development roles

Education/Certification/Experience Preferred:

  • 8+ years Strategic Account and Operations
  • Secondary pharmaceutical distribution experience

 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • A commercially-minded individual with significant corporate presence and marketplace experience.
  • Solid understanding of pharmaceutical distribution in both the primary and secondary markets.
  • Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing industry environment and possess the ability to manage the complexity inherent in the pharmaceutical business.
  • Strong problem solving and issue resolution capabilities.
  • Strong strategic skillset with demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategies based on competitive dynamics, economic goals and customer requirements/needs.
  • Analytical with demonstrated ability to thrive in data-driven, process-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional negotiation, collaboration and influencing skills, both internal and externally.
  • Ability to use detailed financial analyses and high-level pattern recognition to drive sales growth.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to deliver effective presentations to C suite level executive audiences.

 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

 

Up to 50% travel throughout the US
