**Job Description Summary**

To develop and lead our Technical Publication Governing Body at GE Renewables Digital Services for all documentation needed by a technician to perform a task. The Digital Media & QMS Manager will own the Documentation Life Cycle process, and manage the team, that controls the flow of documents from the business to the technician. All documents must be delivered to the technician, at the time of the task, and in a language that they understand.



**Job Description**



**Essential** **Responsibilities**



+ You will lead a direct team that owns and manages a global process throughout a matrix organization of engineering and safety leaders that publishes safety and technical information.

+ All documents must be authored and submitted on standard templates designed by the governing body and submitted to the appropriate experts for review and approval.

+ Work Packaging of documents per task type must be completed for the backlog of documents and managed through a sustainable process with Continuous Improvement initiatives that increase efficiency at the turbine.

+ Translation of all backlog documents in all effected languages based on location, Contract, and turbine type, with real-time translations for all new documents created.

+ Manage the publication and storage of all documents in a location that is easy for field technicians to use.

+ Execute internal and external communication of new documents, technical updates, safety notices, and process changes that ensure 100% of our businesss users are fully aware.

+ Establish and maintain a real-time feedback process that allows document users to connect with the publishing team and subject matter experts when revision requests are made from the field services teams.

+ Develop and manage KPIs that align to our Technical Publication targets, include effective use of the documents to complete all tasks at the turbine.

+ Manage the quality management services for Digital Services organization.



**Required Qualification**



+ Bachelors Degree from an accredited University or College

+ Minimum of 5 years experience in Service Operations and / or Technical Documentation Publishing

+ Minimum of 5 years in managing Process Improvement Projects



**Desired Characteristics**



+ Operational and Lean management experience

+ Lean toolkit application skills (value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Error proofing, SMED, team problem solving, etc.)

+ Understanding of S&OP processes in Services

+ Experience with digital tools for creation and management of documents.

+ Background in effective communication strategies based on current societies around the world.
