Join InterExchange as our new Digital Community & Content Manager - an enterprising hybrid position for an established marketing progressional that is equal parts creative and analytical, with a focus on positive customer experience. This position works within a small Marketing team, assisting all programs in the organization to develop content while observing ROI within key audiences. This position reports to the Director of Marketing and Creative.

The Digital Community Manager aspect of this role serves as the face of the company, you are a digital-savvy employee is responsible for all communications, social media, and content creation, among other things.

You will be successful in this role if you

  • Have a track record with storytelling, and you understand what it takes to make an impact online.
  • Are up on the latest trends and have experience producing quality, engaging content in a range of formats while managing online communities and maximizing reach.
  • Are passionate about digital technology, are solutions-oriented and eager to have a positive impact on results.

Digital Community & Content Manager responsibilities

  • Manage marketing communications in both directions, between InterExchange and its communities/audiences, engage via InterExchange Social Media channels and online tools.
  • Improve efficiencies utilizing existing tools, systems, and team members to ensure the right messages are delivered to the right people at the right time.
  • Work with InterExchange programs to ensure best practice is followed in all mediums when communicating.
  • Conceptualize, write, and publish content to InterExchange web and social properties.
  • Manage and drive editorial campaign.
  • Develop and execute on content strategy.
  • Promote and guide strong internal communications across the InterExchange organization.
  • Monitor and engage with online communities (Reddit, LinkedIn, etc.) to promote InterExchange, providing advice and resources where possible.
  • Report on success.

Digital Community & Content Manager skills & experience

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent copywriting skills with experience preparing content briefs
  • Strong campaign management skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of organic search optimization techniques
  • In-depth knowledge of web content management systems and principles (Github)
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms (Buffer/Mention)
  • Demonstrated experience in building community through paid and organic tactics
  • Customer relations the Community Manager is often responsible for customer support answering questions however they come in (phone, email, Twitter) and managing any online feedback/reputation forums
  • Experience with content creation, brainstorming, ideation and execution
  • Ability to take a campaign from concept to execution with minimal input and guidance
  • Some experience with creative apps an advantage (Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Analytics Using Google Analytics/Google Data Studio and other measurement tools to provide reports on metrics, and continually find ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives

Start Date

TBD, applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until the position is filled

Hours & Location

Monday to Friday; 9:30 am - 5:30 pm (one-hour lunch break, with some flexibility and additional hours as necessary)

On-site in our Downtown Manhattan office

Compensation

$65-75K, DOE
