Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities

• Manages a portfolio of 250 individual giving prospects for qualification, rating, cultivation and solicitation of gifts to Thayer School Annual Fund. Solicits gifts personally and in partnership with others and collaborates on an overall strategy for stewardship of donors. Works with the Executive Director and others in Thayer Advancement to determine optimal approach to cultivation of prospects and next steps. Creates and executes plans for prospect visits for the purpose of prospect screening and engagement. Works with research staff and others to compile materials and information in preparation for donor visits. Writes contact reports on prospect visits and compiles other pertinent information following prospect visits. Drafts and customizes institutional correspondence to specific donors. -70%
• In collaboration with others, creates, implements and supports discrete fundraising programs designed to strategically cultivate, recognize and steward high-level donors by supporting donor-focused events and activities. Participates in a variety of events designed to involve alumni and friends, highlight a specific priority or individual, educate prospective donors, identify new prospects and build a network of alumni contacts. - 20%
• Collaborates with colleagues in central Advancement and the other professional schools to assist in closing comprehensive gifts in support of Dartmouth and the Thayer School of Engineering including, but not limited to, joint visits and preparation of materials for prospective donors. - 5%
