The Enterprise Storage and Data Protection Design Engineer will assist and champion the continual improvements to the core storage and backup infrastructure that underpins ADP's products and services. 

 

ADP's infrastructure services are being reimagined to improve: overall user experience through automation, resiliency through innovative data center and cloud designs, and security by implementing modern capabilities to provide immutable copies of data, and ability to recover large amounts of data with simplicity.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • You'll have 3+ years of storage and backup administration in a complex, globally distributed, highly regulated and mission critical digital infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in designing and engineering leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IAC).
  • Solid operational knowledge of Commvault, Data Domain, and/or Dell ECS.  
  • Strong experience with Software Defined Storage (SDS) development using Python, JavaScript (React, jquery), and node.js to automate operational and repeatable storage tasks.
  • Proficiency with API development using REST, JSON, XML, and SQL.
  • Strong server administration background with Windows or UNIX/Linux.
  • Experience executing large-scale storage tech refreshes, projects, and deployments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Competence in leveraging public cloud (eg. AWS or Azure) capabilities for storage and data protection.
  • Proven ability to develop architecture and design solutions that incorporate high availability, automation, operations supportability and scalability to a high volume, rapidly growing world class digital business.
  • Work in an agile/scrum environment focused on providing continuous improvements to the storage organization.
  • Creation of design and standards documentation.
  • Experience using CMDB and change management systems such as CA or ServiceNow.
