The University of Kentucky Department of Internal Medicine is seeking a faculty provider to serve as the Vice Chair for Patient Safety, Quality and Service. The Vice Chair for Patient Safety, Quality and Service will work in partnership with the Chair, other Vice Chairs and Division Chiefs, to provide overall leadership and coordination of the Department of Internal Medicine’s work to foster a culture of safe and effective patient care. Internal Medicine is a vibrant and growing department in the College of Medicine. This individual will report to the Chair of the Department of Internal Medicine.

The Department is poised to achieve regional and national recognition in clinical care delivery and medical education with opportunity to build a robust research program focused on the care of medically complex patients.
