Within ASML, the sector Customer Support is responsible for the maintenance and continuous improvement of ASML systems at customer locations.

One of the departments in this sector is CS Upgrades, responsible for providing technical upgrade support to customers and service engineers within the Customer Support organization.

The CS Upgrade Material Handler ensures material and tool readiness to execute complex field upgrades.

## **Job Mission**

The CS Upgrades Material Handler directly reports to the CS Field Upgrades Group Lead.

He or she will report operationally to CS Upgrades Field Project Manager.

The CS Upgrades Material Handler will interface with CS Upgrades PMs, CS Upgrades PLs, and CS Upgrades coordinators in Veldhoven and local office coordinators.

The CS Upgrades Material Handler will also have internal interface with Veldhoven and local GLS, as well as any external logistical interfaces while onsite.

## **Job Description**

* Based on the daily plan of the upgrade, provided by the CSU coordinator, ensure the required tools and materials are available at the right time at the machine.

* Return materials and tools and packaging material to ASML or to the customer warehouse.

* Check tools and materials for deviations in their 12nc number, quality and cleanliness.

* Take action to get deviations resolved.

* Solve wrong deliveries and wrong material delivery issues.

* Reporting defects, DOA parts, missing or wrong parts and tools, and take corrective and preventive action.

* Work with CS Upgrades PL to ensure tooling preventive maintenance and calibrations are up to date and scheduled w.r.t to upgrade(s) planning.

* Administrative processing of transactions such as maintaining the build-in/build-out list in order to maintain a correct configuration of the upgraded machine in SAP

* Assist in the delivery of spare parts and special tooling during escalations

* Work with CSU PL, CSU coordinators, shift leads and local GLS to process material notifications for DOA’s

## **Education**

High School diploma and some secondary training or apprenticeship in a technical vocation or equivalent experience.

## **Experience**

* Logistics Technicians with experience in a Customer Support department for high tech products.

* Familiar with technical terminology used in semiconductor process.

* Experience in a semiconductor cleanroom, handling clean and ultra-clean material and tooling.

* At least 1-2 years working with SAP and warehouse experience is required.

## **Other information**

* Work is conducted at a customer site and requires familiarization with customer rules and policies regarding worksite behavior, cleanliness and safety.

* All employees must be able to pass an extensive background check to obtain customer badges.

* Expect to spend more than 50% of work time inside the clean room working with electromechanical equipment.

* Non-exempt position requires domestic and international travel, and the willingness to work flexible shifts and extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays; extensive overtime may be required during upgrade execution.

* Valid driver’s license and passport required.

* At times, job requires standing for long periods of time and moving tools and equipment up to 50 lbs. of weight unaided.

* This position will require travel to US and international field offices (up to 80%) for upgrade logistical support for uninterrupted periods up to 6 weeks in a row.

* Position works under the direction of a Manager, Supervisor, or Sr. Engineer.
