JOB TITLE: Customer Engineer Manager

Location: Redmon WA.


This position is to manage and lead Samsung memory product technical evaluation, design-in, sampling, qualification, and die transitions at a tier 1 customer in WA regional region.

Create global demand by identifying business opportunities, providing optimal memory technologies and solutions for future designs for the specific assigned accounts, and managing all technical related issues.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the customer(s) to assure that technology leadership is maintained and sales are enabled and maximized by acting as an escalation path on occasions where there are (internal or external) obstacles impeding key design wins
  • Provide strategic input to Samsung's Headquarters in Korea regarding the industry or application technology trend in order to create new product offerings or to improve the strategic partnership with the customer(s)
  • Visit and interact directly with the customer(s) to maintain customer product roadmap updates.
  • Track and report project details, design-in, and qualifications plan as well as the competitive analysis in the roadmap, process technology and qualification status.

Required Skills:

  • BA/BS required (BSEE or MSEE preferred)
  • 5+ years of memory/storage engineering experience including SSD, NAND components, Low Power DRAM, HBM are required
  • Deep Hardware architecture knowledge (hardware and software) required
  • Prior experience in a technical customer interfacing role required
  • Ability and willingness to travel ~ 15%
  • Strong communication skills
  • Prior semiconductor or storage experience preferred

Preferred Skills:

  • Storage experience Basic On-site Debugging Capability (ex. Bus Analyzer, Oscilloscope, etc)
  • Test Tool Management (ex. Linux or Windows-based FIO or equivalent test tool)
  • Program management and qualification tracking
  • Experience working with large, distributed teams.
