Overview


This position is responsible for training club and district leaders at Rotary International as part of the Learning Resources team. You will have the opportunity to develop interactive online curriculum and facilitators guides to help members work towards the strategic priorities of Rotary. Your contribution will serve to enhance participant engagement by building strong leaders to carry out Rotarys mission and vision.


 


You Will Have



  • Bachelors degree required.

  • Minimum two years related job experience in learning technology.

  • Supervisory experience.

  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems.

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design.

  • Ability to prioritize varied tasks and assignments.

  • Ability to work as part of a collaborative team and coordinate the work of others.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well under pressure.

  • Facilitation skills to conduct effective training in person and online.

  • Computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft software necessary.

  • Adaptability to take risks and learn from both successes and failures.

  • Non-English language skills or cross-cultural experience.

You Will Be Responsible For


 


Instructional Design



  • Develops, revises, edits, and supervises the overall production of training materials for Rotary leaders worldwide in the form of online courses and facilitators guides.

  • Consults with subject matter experts to determine learning needs and develop training strategy.

  • Manages long-term projects through development, review, copyedit, translation into six or more languages, and design, ensuring materials are produced on schedule, collaborating with multiple internal teams.

  • Standardizes online courses developed by others.

  • Assists in the development of evaluation tools that are appropriate for monitoring the effectiveness of club and district training programs and prepares written summaries of all evaluation results.

  • Knowledge of  organization policy to ensure materials reflect current policy.



Supervisory Responsibilities



  • Directly supervising two curriculum development specialists in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

  • Monitors, develops, and motivates department staff through weekly meetings and annual and quarterly goal setting.

  • Monitors and delegates projects to ensure timelines are met.

  • Reviews projects of direct reports, coaches, and advises on their work.



Other



  • Assists with the development of promotional tools for department resources.

  • Responsible for overseeing the production of the online newsletter, Rotary Training Talk, in English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish.

  • Suggests and facilitates updates to rotary.org training pages.

  • Provides support and information to related enterprise projects and committees; oversees logistical preparations for committees and enterprise projects as assigned.

  • Assists manager with other projects as assigned.
