## **Job Mission**

The sector Customer Support (CS) is responsible for the maintenance of ASML systems on customer locations and supporting the customer in the use of these systems in this production process. Quality in all aspects became a key element to mature our organization. Dead on Arrival (DoA) and early failure of customer spare parts are the most undesired forms of non-quality as perceived by our customers. Poor decisions and insufficient information result into avoidable logistic costs and a low warranty claim success rate resulting into considerable negative financial impact for ASML. Based on the day to day learning the CS Engineering Field MRT is responsible for improving or redesigning our material handling processes in Customer Support to achieve the ASML Zero DoA ambition, to drive a Quality mindset within Customer Support, and reduced ASML costs.

## **Job Description**

The CS Field MRT Competency Engineer will identify quality gaps in the ASML goods (return) flows between warehouses and customer sites including identify root-causes of these gaps. The CS Field MRT Competency Engineer will execute the field analysis of part failure to identify failure mode root-causes. He will define and implement process improvements and measure success. Stakeholder management and process alignment (with Customer Service, ASML Headquarter and Customer Supply Chain) are key for success.

The CS Field MRT Competency Engineer has different roles:

**The CS Field MRT CE as “Engineer”:**

* Executes and leads root cause analysis defect parts (scope : DoA, warranty, Field Service Defects of service parts and tools)

* Physical part inspection at different facilities like customer fab, clean bench, warehouse

* Intake and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reporting

**The CS Field MRT CE as “Analyst”:**

* Collect facts and figures and create business cases for improvement

* Analyze processes related to material flow / handling and service execution to identify quality gaps

* Deliver management reporting

**The CS Field MRT CE as “Project Leader”:**

* Ensure robust implementation of improvements and secure follow-up

* Management reporting on project progress of getting the MRT into operation

* Act both as a project leader and as a coach / facilitator

**The CS field MRT CE as “Change Manager”:**

* Raise the overall level of quality knowledge and awareness of the CS organization through demonstration by hands-on application of continuous improvement tools and concepts

* Drive the material process quality within the CS organization to improve profitability

* Become one of the Go-To persons within the CS MRT organization with respect to continuous improvement


## **Education**

Bachelor or Master degree: like Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, (Applied) Physics or comparable.

## **Experience**

* Relevant work experience within Customer Support ASML

* Project management skills are preferred

* ASML quality improvement projects experience preferred
