Job Summary | The Markey Cancer Center is recruiting a bilingual Community Health Worker which will be part of the Community Impact Office. This person will establish and maintain relationships and partnerships with community organizations to promote health equity. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Hispanic population throughout Kentucky with a focus on Eastern, Central and Northern Kentucky. This candidate will form collaborations with Hispanic community leaders and other stakeholders to identify community needs and priorities related to cancer and health equity. This person will conduct outreach and engagement activities to promote cancer prevention, screening to help improve health outcomes among Hispanics and under-served communities. S/he will advocate and link/refer people to needed services, including screenings, clinical trials, patient education, and survivorship. Must be fluent in oral and written Spanish and English and able to translate materials from English to Spanish. This position will have an onsite work arrangement.
