**Job Description Summary**

The Commercial Leader will develop and lead the commercial strategy for China with a specific focus on the Marine & Industrial business segments in Greater China, through implementing initiatives to increase sales that support the Companys strategic market goals. The biggest growth opportunity for China is in the Marine (Offshore & Merchant) segments and the successful candidate should have extensive experience and contacts within this market segment. The role would suit an experienced sales manager, marketing manager and business development manager with demonstrated experience in managing key local / global account as well as proven track record for increasing customer coverage and revenue.

**Job Description**

Essential Responsibility

+ Initiating contacts, visits and developing the relationships at all relevant levels with major Industrial companies, Marine owners, design institute, operators and shipyards.

+ With the Business Leader and working with the Sales Application teams, develop and establish the business marketing strategy for the Marine new Equipment and Services market.

+ Plans and organizes the sales approach to assure the most effective development of sales opportunities and be responsible for the sales target on the assigned customers; maintain strong pipeline for Marine and Industrial business growth in China.

+ Establish clear vision of market dynamics and set priorities accordingly, work with global business commercial COE and Marketing teams to provide insight on local market dynamics.

+ Maintain knowledge of market trends and competitors action and customers activity by leveraging local relations with industry leaders and governments.

+ Presents and positions the Company and offerings in order to be included on the approved and preferred supplier list.

+ Responds to inquiries from potential customers with an interest in the Company.

+ Develop and lead the bidding strategy. Coordinates tender and bid activities with other units as required.

+ Takes the proposals from the commercial operations team and presents them to customers. Negotiate the offer, with support from legal and finance where needed to close the deal.

+ Maintains contact with trade associations and proactively attends conferences and exhibitions to promote the Companys products, systems and services.

+ Liaise with global business commercial COEs and the other Regional Commercial Leaders to create an effective global sales network.

+ Other duties may be assigned by management to meet business needs.

Qualification / Requirement

+ Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Technology or related field

+ Proven Marine or Oil and Gas experience in a commercial selling role with minimum 5 years experience.

+ Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, drives, and automation systems.

+ Over 10 years of Marine/ Industrial working experience,

+ Proven capability in managing a commercial sales team and as a team player.

+ Experienced in managing large contract negotiations dealing with complex industrial goods

+ Fluent in both written and spoken English

+ Creative mindset exploring innovative business solution

+ Proven ability to show strong responsiveness to customer with Pro-active / Do-er spirit willing to take ownership

+ Be able to manage a challenging sales quota and handle multiple customers.

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills

+ Analytical and structured sales profile with proven track record of managing large and complex contract development

+ Strong team spirit sharing openly viewpoints and accepting challenges

+ Be able to travel frequently

+ Able to have relationships with target companies and government bodies
