**Job Description Summary**

This position will be responsible for supporting all aspects of commercial pricing management including creation and management of Value Based pricing, pricing Delegation of Authority (DOA), approver matrix & hierarchy, deal reviews. Partners closely with sales excellence organization, sales representatives, sales managers, and commercial leadership to bring transparency to pricing governance. You will be a part of the horizontal commercial excellence COE organization & will be responsible to develop framework, guiding principles, systems, analytics & reporting to enable price realization and pricing governance. You will work in close partnership with vertically aligned sales ops leaders to support. You will interface with other functions to communicate functional expectations on behalf of commercial/sales operations functions.

**Job Description**

**Roles and Responsibilities**

Responsible for creating and enabling value pricing framework and policy for deal pricing & review including but not limited to deal terms, discount, margin, risks, cash etc. You will work in partnership with Commercial, Marketing, Finance, and other functional teams, leverages competitive intelligence to drive change and actions in the field of pricing realization management & governance that better position GE in the marketplace.

+ Own the governance and management of deal pricing & use KPIs based data for reporting. You will be responsible for ensuring pricing data hygiene (accuracy and completeness) as well as to create, curate, measure & report KPIs in the space of pricing governance in line with the latest DOA

+ Provide the business insights to the technical team, set up / validate new data sources in reporting tools, create visualization cards, validate data and iterate visualizations based on user feedback.

+ Develop tool framework and prepare data to support regular pricing related metrics & reporting

+ Define and develop BI reports / dashboards for the most relevant and important key performance indicators (KPIs).

+ Work with a range of cross-functional, matrixed teams to help set up and monitor business goals using data; you will obtain functional requirements and specifications to develop reporting capabilities that support defined business goals & pass them to technical teams.

+ Be the key Subject Matter Expert for how the business utilizes the reporting stack

+ Partner with Sales Strategy & Excellence team and field sales to evaluate and improve functional processes from a tools and technology perspective. Leverage your domain expertise; you are expected to further the knowledge and improve productivity of your colleagues with activities such as creating learning content, giving presentations, and supporting a continuous learning culture.

**Required Qualifications**

+ For roles outside of the USA- This role requires advanced experience in the Sales & Digital Commercial Excellence. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

+ For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

**Desired Characteristics**

+ Strong interpersonal skills including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence solution direction across all levels of the organizational matrix.

+ Past experience working with Salesforce.com and other GE visualization tools that will be integrated into the tech stack Working knowledge of SQL

+ Experience as a business user/analyst working with large scale data and business intelligence software

+ Experience recognizing business problems and developing solutions

+ Excellent communication skills (written and oral) - ability to communicate with a variety of functions and C-level executives

+ Highly driven individual with an execution focus and a strong sense of urgency in a rapidly changing environment

+ Ability to both execute directly and prioritize the work of a cross-functional team.

+ Able to thrive in a matrix organization.

+ Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to lead and influence cross functionally.

**Technical Expertise**

+ Proficient with Microsoft Office software.

+ Experience working with Salesforce.com.

+ Experience with Business Intelligence or Data Visualization tools (SAS, Wave Analytics)

**Business Acumen**

+ Background in influencing cross-functional teams toward execution of a strategic initiative. Experience working with a field sales force.
