Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced, ambitious, and self-motivated CNC/Laser Engraving Operator with a military, first responder, or law enforcement background who will utilize class 4 laser engraving and CNC equipment. Top candidates will be methodical, resourceful, and have exceptional critical thinking, communication, and time management skills; and the ability to handle complex machines and tools, with a willingness to lead by example in the workplace. Candidates are responsible for timely and accurately completing custom orders placed online and in person. The ideal candidate will work alongside our marketing, production, and design teams working hand in hand in cultivating and creating incredible Veteran/First Responder apparel and custom products. If you cannot work in an ever-growing, fast-paced environment where you are expected to learn quickly, take the initiative, and be prompt and reliable, this position is not for you.
What We Expect of You:
- Manage custom orders in the queue, based upon age and priority status.
- Meet daily quotas while maintaining quality standards.
- Set up orders utilizing standard PC equipment with the addition of Photoshop, ezCAD, Cypecut, and RD Works.
- Operate and maintain one or more class 4 laser engraving and CNC machines per the standard operating procedure.
- Analyze and setup equipment based upon product and order specifics, following brand standards for consistency, accuracy, and quality.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality that exceeds high-quality standards
- Identify overdue or potentially overdue work orders & alert managers.
- Performing inspections of equipment, structures, materials, and products.
- Administer nightly maintenance to equipment cleaning/adjustments to lenses, machine, and inner workings.
- Adhere to acceptable warehousing practices and safety standards, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Adhere to time & attendance policies, procedures, & work area schedule.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Need to Succeed:
- Veteran/Military/LEO/First Responder background Required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certificate or diploma in Machine Shop Technology/Machinist or Engineering is an advantage.
- 2-years' working experience in mechanical assembly, Laser Engraving, or CNC Machine Operator
- Aptitude for math, problem-solving, computers, and mechanics.
- Strong analytical, comprehension, and computer skills
- Maintain clear and honest communication at all times.
- Able to follow instructions but also exercise independent judgment, sound reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Resiliency; respond well to constructive feedback.
Requires the ability to:
- Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Work in an internal environment varying in cool to hot temperatures.
- Perform inspections of equipment, structures, materials, and products.
- Frequently required to climb (stairs), walk, stand, bend, stoop.
- Occasionally required to sit.
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms.
- Regularly required to read, compose written correspondence, hear, and communicate verbally.
- Regularly lift and move objects 10-60lbs, occasionally lift and move items that weigh more than 100 lbs.
