General Overview


This position is responsible for using regional expertise and organizational knowledge to create club and district leadership development strategies for volunteers in North America, the Caribbean, or Spanish-speaking Latin America. You will have the opportunity to develop relationships, counsel senior volunteers, support Rotary initiatives, and coach clubs while you improve governance, expand member benefits, and create solutions to emerging challenges. Your contribution in volunteer management will enhance participant engagement and increase our ability to adapt as an organization.


 


You Will Have



  • Bachelors degree

  • Two years of volunteer management experience

  • Knowledge of dispute management, governance, and member experience

  • Excellent communication skills speaking with and writing for a global, multicultural audience (written and verbal English and Spanish)

  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced, information-driven environment

  • Analytical aptitude, problem-solving, and independent decision-making skills

  • Comfort working with senior volunteer and staff leaders

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, including a positive and professional attitude

  • Experience working with international and remote teams

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meetings

You Will Be Responsible For


As the primary liaison to various club and district leadership roles, and in collaboration with senior leaders and colleagues, you support operationalizing Rotarys Action Plan through:


 



  • building your network of 350+ Rotary leaders by cultivating and maintaining working relationships on a first-name basis with current, incoming, and past governors, assistant governors, various district chairs, Rotaract representatives, zone leaders, and 1015 new club presidents annually to develop and strengthen leadership capacity




  • creation of leadership development strategies including expert, regionalized guidance, education, communication, and coaching to club, district, and zone leaders

  • promotion of club flexibility, innovation in best practices, and enhancement of Rotary and Rotaract member experiences

  • counsel on governance and policy processes, harassment prevention and investigation, and dispute resolution and mediation practices for club, district, and zone leaders

  • education and strengthening of DEI principles and initiatives within club and district culture

  • development and analysis of budgeting, compliance reporting, and sustainable business process improvements to increase district operational efficiency

  • guidance, review, and approval for various functions of club and district operations

  • travel to meetings and events to build relationships, train, share resources, and resolve issues




  • education of club, district, and zone leaders through in-person and virtual events, regional curriculum, webinars, open houses, workshops, learning labs, expo booths, phone and video calls, emails, and promotional materials to motivate, build proficiencies, and improve club and district operations

  • conducting research and analyzing insights to enhance club culture and member experience, remove barriers to collaboration, and increase leadership development strategies

  • promotion of Rotary products to increase members product awareness and adoption

  • engaging and cultivating relationships with a diverse group of staff from other business units to influence cross-team cooperation
