Job Summary

The University of Kentucky College of Health Sciences is seeking a student who is a skilled writer and creative thinker to assist the Director of Communications and Director of Research Operations with brand storytelling and content creation for the Office of Research. The Research Communications Assistant will be responsible for conducting in-person and phone interviews with faculty, students, and alumni and writing engaging content in the form of feature articles and social media posts. Applicants should have a strong understanding of how to write using appropriate tone and voice for different pieces and a basic understanding of translating scientific content for a lay audience. Experience with AP Style is desired but not required. The Research Communications Assistant will also produce and maintain the bi-monthly Office of Research e-newsletter and perform administrative tasks as needed.
