Physical Requirements | The essential functions for this position include the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds on a daily basis; as well as stand, walk and sit for long periods of time. The conditions of work may involve exposure to communicable diseases and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments. |
Shift | This is a 3rd shift; Sunday-Thursday 11p-7:30a, will include holidays, some call as needed. |
Job Summary | Responsible for decontamination, correct assembly, and sterile processing of all instrumentation used in the operating rooms. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of regulatory standards for universal precautions, sterilization methodologies, and regulatory standards for biological monitoring. Basic knowledge of operating room instrumentation, and understanding of aseptic techniques. Knowledge of sterilization principles, processing techniques, and instrument/equipment care. |
