**Job Description Summary**

Directly reporting to the Supplier Quality Casting Commodity Leader, as Supplier Quality Engineer you will support suppliers selection through qualification processes, will own supplier results and drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards audits and ensuring compliance.
Depending on the supplier selection, you may be involved on different products and processes, as investment casting for airfoils and structural related to light alloys, steel, and superalloy materials.
**Job Description**
**Essential Responsibilities**
+ Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development
+ Lead supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring
+ Propose technical solutions to suppliers and design team
+ Track metrics & works quality improvement plans to address problem areas
+ Review and approve quality plans, investigate quality escapes to provide root cause analysis and ensure effective corrective actions are taken
+ Mentor suppliers in the application of Avio Aero quality tools & requirements
+ Ensure compliance and drive improvement plans where needed
+ Review documentation and witness supplier practices to determine if sound manufacturing and inspection principles are in place
+ Drive Quality for assigned Casting suppliers typically located in Asia, Europe and/or North-Central America
+ Participate to Kaizen events which involve the casting business as technical expert, and be part of the development/improvements of new/legacy parts
+ Balance both tactical execution with strategic initiatives necessary to drive Quality Improvement projects
+ Lead onsite visit/surveys to perform suppliers audit, to support corrective actions analysis and to join the team dedicated to capability and capacity assessment
+ Lead problem resolutions in network with other Avio Aero function (Sourcing, Engineering, Production) providing technical knowledge
+ Support Vendor Recovery process
+ Participate to new source introduction assessment providing technical support to Sourcing team
+ Act as Avio Aero representative on site at Suppliers to facilitate new product qualification and problems resolution
**Qualification/Requirements**
+ Engineering Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
+ Investment Casting process knowledge
+ Proven and strong experience in Investment Casting
+ Previous experience in Quality, Manufacturing and/or Engineering
+ Ability to drive RCCA, 8D, PFMEA
+ Strong oral and written communication skills
+ Availability to travel as needed
+ Fluent in English
+ Fluent in Italian or Polish according to the location
+ Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
**Desired Characteristics**
+ Material or Aerospace Engineering degree from an accredited university or college preferred
+ Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
+ Demonstrated experience in New Product Introduction process
+ Lean Six Sigma and Statistical Process Control trained
+ Green Belt certified
+ Auditor certified
+ Demonstrated ability to lead and support multiple projects simultaneously
+ Ability to influence others and lead small teams
