Job Summary
The Gatton College of Business and Economics invites applications for a full-time business analytics lecturer position (non-tenure eligible, nine-month renewable appointment) starting Fall 2023. We seek a colleague who is passionate about teaching and eager to develop the business analytics programs offered by the college’s Business Analytics Center. The successful candidate will also be affiliated with the academic department that best fits their background and expertise.
The position will include in-person and online teaching along with some service expectations. The successful candidate will teach multiple courses potentially including introduction to business analytics, business intelligence and visualization, data management, data mining, data modeling, and an undergraduate business analytics capstone. While the primary responsibility is teaching, the successful candidate may also oversee a business analytics lab that supports students in analytic classes, provide technology instruction to Gatton faculty and staff, help administer the data analytics undergraduate minor and graduate certificate, and serve as the faculty advisor to the business data analytics club. Specific courses and other assigned duties will be determined by the Director and the Dean’s Office in consultation with the candidate and may be adjusted annually based on needs and performance.
