POSITION SUMMARY
- Repair, calibrate, and maintain complex medical equipment, instrumentation and support systems while maintaining effective customer relations. The Lead will act as a technical biomed representative on collaborations and projects and act as a Tier 3 resource for other technicians. They will be responsible for leading various activities and directing activities of the fellow biomed technicians.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses and Certifications Required
  - Must be BMET certified within 1 year of accepting the position.
- Educational Requirements
  - Associates Degree in electronics or Biomedical Technology is highly desirable.
  - Minimum of 10 years' experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment.
- Experience Requirements
  - Computer experience.
- Special Skills or Training Requirements
  - Knowledge of technical aspects of electronic equipment and its operation, repair and maintenance.
  - Knowledge of current regulatory requirements.
  - Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, repair and test electronic equipment.
  - Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and manuals.
  - Follow proper safety practices and procedures while working on electrical equipment.
  - Will maintain good working relationships with fellow co-workers, nursing, medical staff, vendors, manufacturers and the general public.
  - Will be expected to participate in meetings, seminars, committees, training, workshops and conferences as required.
  - Will maintain communications with customers, to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
  - Will maintain a clean and safe workplace.
