As a Billing Specialist with Rapid Response Monitoring Services, you will be a key member of our accounting team. You will work with other departments to receive invoices and check them for accuracy. You will apply correct pricing structures and work with customers to resolve any billing discrepancies. You must excel at receiving data from multiple sources, analyzing that data, and then applying your knowledge and judgment to advance the billing process.

Here are some questions we're frequently asked by candidates:

  • In a year, how will I know I'm successful? You'll have learned so much that you're able to work mostly independently on your own assignments. The team will always help out with unique or busy situations, however.
  • What type of experience matches up to this job? This is not billing like you might think of with a medical office or a bank. Those skills are not entirely relevant here. Our best Billing Specialists typically have a Bachelor's degree in math, finance, accounting, or economics. They've worked in roles which required heavy analytical skills: receiving data, analyzing it, interpreting it, and then expertly articulating findings. For this role, you'd share your information with your supervisor, our team, and/or the client.
  • What software do you use? We use a proprietary software as well as Microsoft Office Suite. We don't expect you to know our system, obviously, but you do need advanced knowledge of Excel, well beyond pivot tables and V-lookups. You'll be building formulas, using if/then statements, and getting into some deep data visualization. If you have experience with Power BI, that's a big plus!
