Role Summary:In this key role, be accountable for providing technical support to the production of DeltaV automation systems, sustaining excellence in quality, compliance and safety standards. Consistently improve process quality and productivity through the application of Lean Six Sigma tools, cross-functional efforts and projects. Interface with global counter-parts to achieve program goals and integrate global activities when necessary. Co-lead introduction of new processes for new product development.

Essential Responsibilities:1. DeltaV Subject Matter Expert: Understands DeltaV Infrastructure; Understands DeltaV Databases, Understands DeltaV Graphics and IO, Understands DeltaV Hardware (Controllers, modules, power supplies, etc), Setup of DeltaV Hardware, Troubleshooting and Resolution of issues related to DeltaV Hardware, Setup and Configuration of DeltaV Repeater panel. Able to troubleshoot, analyze and resolve issues at the manufacturing shop floor as well those related to customer complaints.

2. Facilitate and execute DVET (DeltaV Functional Test) on various pieces of equipment, create and modify Protocols and Work Instructions for DVET, train potential Operators to execute DVET Protocols

3. Facilitates and executes DeltaV Factory Acceptance Testing on various pieces of equipment, aid in the development of DeltaV FAT protocols, execute Shakedown of DeltaV FAT protocol and train potential Operators to execute DeltaV FAT

4. Responsible for the successful DeltaV Design transfer from the Design team to the Manufacturing team and participation on all Project Meetings related to DeltaV systems, ensuring excellence on levels of quality, compliance and safety standards of new processes being implemented. Ensure project timelines and commitments to customers are in accordance with Manufacturing capabilities.

5. Work cross-functionally with local and global teams to constantly identify and implement quality and productivity initiative.

6. Review and approve of all engineering change orders related to the design and development of DeltaV systems, providing Manufacturing approvals to all Life Cycle activities related to DeltaV systems.

7. Develop, review and execute automation qualification and validation protocols of DeltaV systems.

8. Develop project specific software specifications (unit design specification, CMI, EMI, etc).

9. Interact with clients to identify and analyze continuous improvement through automation upgrades.

10. Instantiating, validating, testing, troubleshooting, and managing DeltaV systems

Qualifications/Requirements:1. Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Computer Systems Engineering or related technical fields and 3 years of experience in engineering, production or troubleshooting of PC/server-based systems

2. Expertise on DeltaV Distributed Control Systems

3. Demonstrated troubleshooting, analytical and planning skills

4. Ability to work in teams

5. Ability to work independently and with high levels of ambiguity

6. Demonstrated strong communication skills (written and verbal) to all levels of the organization

Desired Characteristics:1. Understanding of the functionality, design, and operation of Single Use Bioreactor systems.

2. Understanding of Wonderware/PLC Automation systems

3. Experience in a Manufacturing Engineering position

4. 6-sigma DMAIC & DFSS certification

5. Experience working with global teams
