Job Summary | The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day activities of the office which include creating and implementing marketing plans for assigned sports and others as needed. Those efforts include working with coaching staff, writing and executing marketing plans, developing and implementing marketing strategies; creating strategies for fan engagement and attendance; coordinating event scripts; and supervising student workers assigned to game day and other activities. This position is an appointment for 2023-2024 academic year with the opportunity for a second term. |
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Passionate, dedicated, hard-working and organized with excellent written/verbal communication skills and a strong desire to pursue a career in marketing athletics field. Prior experience in marketing and hosting of athletic events at the Division 1 level preferred. Familiar with NCAA procedures and protocols. |

Preferred Education/Experience | Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Sports Management or related field. Must be willing to work long hours including nights, weekends and holidays in addition to weekly office hours. The successful candidates must be willing to work all home football games and home games of the sport to which you are assigned. |
