Associate UX Designer (Junior)
ADP have a vacancy for a talented, detail conscious and creative junior UX designer to assist in the creation and evolution of web-based, global HR and payroll applications.
Job Responsibilities
You should be a visual thinker, passionate student of detailed visual design and a desire to keep learning. You should be a strong collaborator, be receptive to feedback and open to working in teams of mixed disciplines.
You should be passionate about understanding the user's mental model to aid you in the design of solutions that balance the user's needs with business goals and technical capabilities. In your role you will define the interactivity and UX on a variety of products, producing designs and detailed analysis documentation that aid team members in the creation of the products. You should be able to demonstrate excellent ability to portray concepts and ideas from flows to creative solutions using industry leading prototyping tools.
You will also have proven design skills and be able to produce and show a portfolio of previous designs using industry standard tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator or other similar products. You will also be able to demonstrate good usage of industry standard prototyping tools such as Axure and inVision.
Ideally you will have experience of user testing using a variety of methods, be able to describe those methods and speak confidently about lessons learnt from previous user testing sessions.
You will ideally have a history of web development, being able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members alike. You will have a strong interest in new technologies, such as touch screen devices and be client focused and dedicated to providing high quality designs. Your attention to detail will be of a high level and you will be passionate about design, information architecture and usability.
* Degree or Masters in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, UX Design or similar
- or -
* Proven experience in a UX or web based graphic design role
* Excellent interface and interaction design skills
* Excellent skills in tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Axure or InVision, including the creativity to create graphics where needed
* Ability to understand and design information architecture
* User testing knowledge
* A knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
* Experience in a wide variety of platforms such as PC/Mac, Mobile, Pad devices
* Preferable degree level.
