Job Summary | The Department of Computer Science at the University of Kentucky invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions to begin August 2022. We seek excellent candidates in all areas, with specific needs in data science, software engineering, security, and systems. A demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse teams to address grand societal challenges is highly desirable. We will consider all ranks, with preference for candidates at the assistant professor level. Tenure-track faculty are expected to build a strong research program in their chosen area and to be dedicated teachers, contributing to our instructional offerings at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The Department, housed within the College of Engineering, has 23 faculty members. The Department aims to be a diverse community of researchers and educators dedicated to pioneering research in computer science as well as interdisciplinary research collaborations at the university and beyond, to offering the highest quality instructional programs including Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degrees in Computer Science, Master’s degree in Data Science, and Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD degrees in Computer Engineering, and to serving the professional, local, state and global communities. The degree programs in Computer Engineering are offered in collaboration with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Department; the undergraduate programs in Computer Science and in Computer Engineering are ABET-accredited.
