Position Overview
The Assistant Faculty Development Specialist (AFDS) assists the Faculty Development unit with supporting university teaching staff in the design and facilitation of inclusive learning experiences across all classroom modalities. The AFDS coordinates the logistics and operations of faculty development events and resources for the purpose of promoting evidence-based teaching that helps all UNT students succeed.

Job Duties

• Assists the Faculty Development Team with the coordination, administration, and implementation of in-person and virtual faculty development opportunities for university teaching staff.
• Assists with the development and maintenance of faculty development materials and resources.
• Participates in the continuous improvement process for faculty development opportunities for university teaching staff.
• Maintains own professional development in the areas of higher education and event management and promotion.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s plus 2 years experience
