The Office of Student Engagement is responsible for providing an enriching and developmental college experience for our students. In that effort, the Assistant Director of First Year Engagement & Coordinator of Greek Affairs is responsible for leading the charge with a focus on growth of our new student orientation program alongside our unique Greek community. These efforts are geared toward enhancing the overall cognitive, social, and emotional development of our students. This position innovatively develops activities that educate and expose our students to active involvement in social, cultural, intellectual, recreational, and civically minded programs that complement our academic initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and supervise full cycle recruitment of New Student Orientation staff, Week of Welcome and biannual orientations.
Assist in the creation and implementation of Family Weekend, Homecoming, and Hot Dog Day along with other major campus-wide events.
Serve as the professional advisor to the Greek Senate and act as a liaison to all professional advisors.
Maintain communication with and monitor Fraternity & Sorority Recruitment, Greek Events, and other activities along with managing an annual budget.
Provide training, educational sessions, leadership opportunities, and additional resources for the Greek community.
Work with the Director of Civic Engagement to coordinate campus-wide community service initiatives.
Assist with Office of Student Engagement sponsored events.

Assist with Enrollment events.

Job Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, Counseling in Education or related field with a preference given to Master's prepared candidates.
Experience with large scale event planning with preference given to orientation or onboarding experience.
Knowledge of Fraternity and Sorority governance and management.
History of student staff supervision
Previous budget oversight and management preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high level of interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively
