Job Summary | The University of Kentucky College of Medicine invites applications and seeks nominations for the position of Assistant Professor of Pediatrics. The successful candidate will serve as a faculty member within the Forensic Medicine division of Pediatrics. This position will assist in meeting the clinical and academic needs and achieve the goals of the Division of Forensic Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics in education, training and service consistent with the mission of the University Of Kentucky College Of Medicine. The primary responsibility of the position will be to provide state-of-the art compassionate health care to infants, children and adolescents, to contribute to the education of future physicians and to participate in clinical investigations conducted by other faculty members within the Divisions. The faculty member will be involved in medical student and resident programs. Excellent opportunities for research are available. To apply, please include a CV along with application. This position has been identified as supporting UK HealthCare, which receives funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Therefore, all individuals hired into this position must comply with the federal CMS mandate issued in March of 2022. This mandate requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment. Start of employment cannot occur until two weeks after receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination series or upon obtaining an approved exemption. Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization can be accepted. |
