Assembly Associate
Kimball Physics is currently seeking a fulltime Assembly Associate to join our growing team. This person will be responsible for assembling systems and sub-assemblies to precise specifications and is a production job requiring basic skills. The applicant should be highly motivated with an ability to prioritize and work independently once trained.
This position includes significant duties such as:
- Preparation of intricate components under a microscope and use small tools.
- Assembly of components per routers, drawings, and written procedures.
- Alignment of systems to meet specifications; Alignment of assemblies and in-process testing.
- Processing and final testing of assemblies; preparation of assemblies for shipment with supervision or involvement of other Assembly Specialists.
- Accuracy of assembly is extremely critical because failure to follow proper technique may not be immediately apparent.
- Problem solving with supervision.
- Good organizational skills an ability to be flexible with changing work demands.
- Attention to detail and quality paramount.
- Ability to follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure)
- Must be self-directed and able to work unsupervised.
- May be required to help in other departments depending on workload
Experience:
- Experience not required; we will train
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
