Shift | Monday – Friday; 7:00 am – 3:30 pm; and will include some weekends and on-call. |
Job Summary | Completes primarily simple & routine animal caretaking duties; & as requested by Group Leader or Supervisor, cage wash activities which may occur up to 20% of the time of overall job duties & responsibilities. All actions are completed by strictly & consistently following applicable DLAR SOPs including safety procedures & guidelines. Reports any suspected or actual deviations to SOPs or non-routine situations immediately to Group Leader or their Supervisor. Arrives, leaves & takes breaks at work as scheduled. Strictly adheres to DLAR attendance policy. IEBC (Internal Employee Being Considered). |

Preferred Education/Experience | Twelve months of FCI, cage wash, animal husbandry (laboratory animal husbandry preferred) or equivalent experience directly related to care, use, handling and treatment of animals in a paid position; AALAS certification at ALAT level. Driver’s license preferred. |
