Android Software Engineer Power Management (40026)

OVERVIEW & IMPACT

Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. is searching for Android and kernel power management software engineer at all levels. Candidate will join a diverse team and customer working on design, implementation and testing of our next generation of chipsets with the specific role of supporting embedded software development. Samsung Mobile SoC chipsets have been commercialized in millions of smart devices including Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets and we are now on track to bring Android and kernel solutions to market.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop and implement Android Kernel, power management device drivers, for SoC platform
• Enhancing, Optimizing, Maintaining system level, performance and power management
• Work closely with systems and hardware engineers to develop new architecture and implement of Android SW and Hardware abstraction layer for SoC
• Debugging and problem solving Android performance and power issues and collaborate with customer and developer

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science. Masters degree preferred.
• Software development and management skills with strong proficiency in C, C++ and Java
• Experience with Android system including AOSP, Kernel device driver and framework
• Strong knowledge in Android O/S bring up with SoC
• Strong Knowledge in Linux Kernel, device driver, Framework
• Comfortable fixing issues related Linux kernel and Android System
