Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. is searching for Android and Kernel Multimedia Software Engineer at all levels. Candidate will join a diverse team and customer working on design, implementation and testing of our next generation of chipsets with the specific role of supporting embedded software development. Samsung Mobile SoC chipsets have been commercialized in millions of smart devices including Samsung Galaxy smartphones and tablets and we are now on track to bring Android and kernel solutions to market.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop and implement Android multimedia software for SoC platform
- Enhancing, Optimizing, Maintaining system level multimedia software solution
- Work closely with systems and hardware engineers to develop new architecture and implement of Android multimedia and Hardware abstraction layer for SoC
- Debugging and problem solving Android multimedia solution and collaborate with customer and developer
REQUIRED SKILLS (Education Certificates, Licenses, Travel)
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineer, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- Software development and management skills with strong proficiency in C, C++ and Java
- Experience with Android system including AOSP, Kernel device driver and framework
- Strong knowledge in Android O/S bring up with SoC
- Strong Knowledge in Linux Kernel, device driver, Framework
- Comfortable fixing issues related Linux kernel and Android System
