Job Summary | Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension is seeking an Agriculture Extension Specialist to provide leadership in the development and implementation of professional development, mentoring and retention program for new Agriculture and Natural Resources, and Horticulture agents across Kentucky. This professional will be responsible for developing activities that promote professional development; implementing a coaching and visitation (remotely or F2F) program; evaluate coursework and professional experiences for new agents; identify ways to increase retention of mid-career agents; as well as coordinate and lead meetings. The position is one of a team of Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Specialists that support county agents in improving the quality of individual work and work life balance through extension, research, and outreach. Please note: The University of Kentucky uses qualifying equivalencies when determining eligibility for meeting job education and experience minimum requirements. This position requires a PhD and five (5) years of related experience. Other acceptable combinations of education and experience include:
