Under the supervision of clinical mentors, the APP Fellow is a 12-month position that will consist of precepted clinical practice, didactic teaching, and simulation skills training.

As a member of the Division of Critical Care Medicine, the APP Fellow, with APP mentor collaboration, will have the opportunity to manage highly complex and critically ill populations including hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and neurointerventional patients following aneurysm coiling. The Fellow will participate in case management and continuing care of complex post-surgical patients. The Fellow will learn to collaborate, refer, and consult with department attending physicians, specialists, and other members of the health care team to deliver effective, efficient, safe, and high quality care. The Fellow will be exposed to the APP role in contributing to organizational and departmental continuous performance and quality improvement projects.
