Required License/Registration/Certification | For Nurse Practitioner applicants, active Kentucky Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license. For Physician Assistant applicants, current National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification and active Kentucky Physician Assistant (PA) license. Employment is contingent upon the University’s verification of credentials as required by state law and University policies. |

Job Summary | The Department of Internal Medicine – Cardiology seeks an Advanced Practice Provider I to be part of the outpatient cardiovascular team. As part of the Gill Heart Institute team, this position will be responsible for medical evaluations on outpatients in the Gill Heart Institute outpatient clinic. Duties include but are not limited to formulating medical diagnosis, ordering and interpreting diagnostic studies, patient education, and facilitating patient flow in coordination with the physicians and other support staff. Travel to outreach centers will be required. |
