Role Summary
The Accounting Assistant provides valuable support to the Accounting Department with data entry, processing, and recording transactions. A successful candidate is an excellent multi-tasker with exceptional communication and time management skills
Responsibilities
- Gather and sort invoices and checks
- Prepares and enters financial transactions in internal data bases
- Issue customer statements, invoices, or notices as needed
- Assist with reports and records
- Maintain digital and physical financial records
- Proficient in handling sensitive, confidential information
- Connect with designated customers daily who fall below the 30- day late mark for account monitoring
- Composing and mailing notices, disconnection letters, customer notification letters, etc.
- Collaborate with management to identify issues attributing to account delinquency and propose solutions
- Assist with Accounting tasks as needed, supporting the other members of the Accounting Department
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Many of our positions require an extra level of screening to obtain Department of Defense security clearance

Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year's experience in a professional support role or equivalent military experience
- Associates Degree
COVID-19 Requirements
- Must be fully vaccinated: 2 doses of Pfizer/Moderna or 1 dose of Johnson & Johnson, 2 weeks prior or more
- Booster shot is required 2 months after Johnson & Johnson or 5 months after second dose of Pfizer/Moderna
