Spangler Candy Company, a world class candy manufacturer is currently seeking a Plant Superintendent, 3^rd Shift to fill a full time position on the Operations team.

The Plant Superintendent, 3^rd Shift is responsible for assuring effective management of the third shift manufacturing operations. Directs, oversees and coordinates activities of manufacturing and maintenance employees individually and through Production Supervision to achieve manufacturing of quality confection products. Sets goals, establishes priorities, manages resources and resolves process issues. Maintains quality, safety and regulatory compliance relating to the manufacturing operation.

Position qualifications: Proven understanding and experience in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing ideal). Possess at least five years of experience in a managerial role supervising shifts.

Successful candidate will possess ability to coach, mentor and develop skill sets of employees in a world class food manufacturing environment. High awareness and strong commitment to plant safety, food safety and quality. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Possess a positive, supportive and team oriented attitude. Use logic to analyze, problem solve, explore alternatives and purpose quality solutions. Proactive style and effectively take action to develop appropriate solutions. Experience in food safety and sanitation a plus.
