Description **Job Description:**

Responsible for team level contributions to overall application development efforts within portfolio application(s); These application program solutions may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools. Provides technical direction and oversight on creation of applications from E2E (end to end) perspective. Ensuring systems design, business requirements, and architecture of solution is well understood by involved parties and responsible for overall delivery of software products. Manages applications/ development projects, or complex initiatives of an area of the development function. Responsible for instructing, directing, and reviewing the work of other associates, contractors, and strategic partner resources that are part of their team. May provide input on performance management and personnel decisions. As appropriate, contributes to budget and forecast activities, monitors team progress, and works with Team Manager to adjust resource allocations and priorities accordingly.

**Line of Business Description:**

Business Analyst with strong technical capabilities and a minimum of 7-8 years of experience in the financial industry. Knowledge of Hadoop & reporting using Hadoop is required. Experience in Wealth Management is preferred.

**Project and Technical Responsibilities**

+ Responsible for handling the smooth co-ordination between teams spread across different geographic locations.

+ Create project plans and provide technical solutions from inception to successful project completion.

+ Ensure effective client communication, requirement gathering and guiding the team to provide and evaluate technical solutions.

+ Act as a team mentor and technical guide for the development, design, and systems integration on critical projects.

+ Handle crisis, identify issues and provide effective solutions.

+ Manage client interaction and expectations regarding development efforts.

**Communication and Team Work**

+ Communicate with the relevant stakeholders regarding technical issues related to delivery of projects.

+ Should be excellent team member and work cross-functionally.

+ Liaise with other technical, architect, and project teams within the group.

+ Acknowledge and appreciate each team member's contributions.

+ Effectively utilize each team member to his/her fullest potential.

+ Hold regular status meetings with the development teams.

+ Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion.

+ Conducts oneself professionally and is open for constructive feedback.

+ Technical Leadership & Training

+ Own the Software development lifecycle and manage technical risks throughout the project.

+ Consult on migration strategies and plan.

+ Contribute to enhancement of technical / application knowledge.

+ Identify and conduct training programs.

+ Provide advice on various applications, technologies, and tools.

+ Ensure that best practices and standards are followed and suggest enhancements to the current process.

+ Communicate and recommend best coding practices.

+ Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory issues and compliance of all internal controls.

+ Implement and comply with Group Compliance Policy.

+ Deliver while considering the operational risk associated with the role.

**Required Skills:**

+ Business Analyst with strong technical capabilities and a minimum of 7-8 years of experience in the financial industry

+ Knowledge of Hadoop & reporting using Hadoop is required

+ Operating System: Linux & Windows

+ Handle enterprise wise projects including technologies such as Hadoop/Big Data, Cognos, .NET, Microstrategy, Tableau

+ Databases (More then 6 years in either)MSSQL, DB2

+ Framework & Programming Language (More than 3 years in all tools): Hadoop, .NET & Java

+ Business Intelligence Tools (More then 5 years in either): Cognos, Tableau, Microstrategy

+ Experience in Wealth Management is preferred
