**Role Summary:**



You will work in lock-step with application or domain leaders acting as a product manager to create a clear strategic direction that will be delivered by the product development team. You will direct the team with a clear and descriptive set of requirements and deliver product features and functions by balancing customer need with business strategy, minimized defects, and technical debt.







**Essential Responsibilities:**







Your priority is seamless integration and alignment of perspectives from a broad set of stakeholders including but not limited to: Customers, Process Owners, Enterprise Architects, Application Managers, Development teams and Technical Architects.

In this role, you will:







Be an expert in your product and work with cross-functional teams to deliver features and products







Work with Product Management to prioritize continuously in accordance with the understanding and validation of customer problems and needs







Engage frequently (80%) with the development team; facilitate discussions, provide clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; contributes to design activities







Own and manage the backlog; continuously order and prioritize to ensure that 1-2 sprints/iterations of backlog is always ready







Own and drive the execution of on-time and high-quality feature delivery







Collaborate with Product Management and UX Design to know customers and understand behaviors







Partner with the Service Owner to ensure healthy development process







Apply Agile principles to translate unstructured or ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories and work units through problem decomposition and planning







Show increasing understanding of the technology stack and its impact on the final product







Demonstrate ability to influence customers and product managers through persuasion and influencing







**Qualifications/Requirements:**







Basic Qualifications:







Bachelors Degree in business, computer science or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)







A minimum of 5 years of professional experience OR Masters degree with 3 years professional experience







Eligibility Requirements:







Legal authorization to work in US is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.







Must be willing to travel (up to 10%).







Must be willing to work out of an office located in San Ramon, CA.

Technical Expertise:







Experience with building web sites, web applications and/or multi-tiered distributed applications programming







Experience with managing the development life cycle from start to finish on software projects







Experience working in Agile engineering environment including leading Scrum teams







Experience working with cloud-based platform (e.g. Cloud Foundry) preferred







Experience working with and using insights from web analytic tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)







Experience working with content management systems (e.g. Drupal) to build scalable websites







Business Acumen:







Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts







Demonstrates awareness about competitors and industry trends







Has the ability to analyze impact of technology choices







Skilled in negotiation to align stakeholders and communicate a single synthesized perspective to the scrum team.







Leadership:







Ability to takes ownership of small and medium sized tasks and deliver while mentoring and helping team members







Ensures understanding of issues and presents clear rationale. Able to speak to mutual needs and win-win solutions. Uses two-way communication to influence outcomes and ongoing results







Identifies misalignments with goals, objectives, and work direction against the organizational strategy. Makes suggestions to course correct







Continuously measures deliverables of self and team against scheduled commitments. Effectively balances different, competing objectives
