Responsibilities:
As a Site Sr. HR Specialist you will apply strong staffing and well-rounded HR experience and skills to support assigned office(s) and make an impact through innovative approaches, focus on our most valuable asset - our people, and excellence in HR service delivery. 

The core duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

-Development and deployment of recruitment strategies to successfully meet staffing plans, and supporting organization changes and talent management needs;
-Successfully manage full Life-Cycle of Recruiting – reviewing applications and screening applicants, scheduling interviews, assessing skills, may administer portions of pre-employment screening process, offer to onboarding of new hires, and appropriate use of ATS system. 
-Support communication and deployment of programs such as intern and scholarship programs, employee referral program, and other HR Programs;
-May support a variety of HRIS and HR procedures as need for employees such as clearances, badging, timecards, safety, ergonomics, etc. 
-Reinforce understanding and interpretation of, as well as accountability for adherence to company policies and procedures;
-Support HR Management with day-to-day employee relations matters, disciplinary actions, and terminations;
-Support HR Management in conducting investigations, conflict mediation, and coaching employees and managers in a variety of situations;
-Support LOA team members in effective handling of leave of absence activity as needed;
-Ensures successful completion of compliance training and other required activities by client groups;
-Effectively uses technology for HR workflow and support client groups;
-Leverages knowledge and expertise in HR best practices and legal environment to collaborate and proactively contribute to the development, continuous improvement and implementation of policies, procedures, workflow, programs, and other HR initiatives. May lead or co-lead projects and/or have direct responsibility for components of projects.
-May provide direction or have indirect oversight responsibility for site HR resources, 
-Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

-Demonstrated strength in planning and executing successful recruitment strategies for local market that results in strong candidate pipeline, excellent time-to-fill rates, and positive impact on the business as well as for Performant's market brand and awareness in the local market.
-The ability to understand the business and its objectives to serve as an effective partner.
-Depth of understanding various areas of law and compliance applicable to assigned state(s), business of a national, government contracting, public company.
-Experience with successful assessment, advice, and resolution of employee relations matters
-Demonstrated breadth and depth of knowledge and experience in diverse areas of HR disciplines required to perform the essential duties of the position.
-An action oriented results driven professional that can rapidly shift gears in a fast paced dynamic and complex environment while maintaining a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
-Leads by example and adds value daily scaling from planning, problem resolution and coaching, to rolling up your sleeves to ‘get things done’ in processes, programs, and transaction based activities.
-Strong customer service focus and business partnership orientation
-Success in supporting, deploying and educating on programs and procedures that enable the business while maintaining compliance and risk mitigation.
-Effective listening, but also persuasively convey opinions, recommendations and counsel
-Investigates and applies strong analytical skills appropriately to issues, data, programs and other areas to  problem solve, identify root causes, trends, and develop recommendations. 
-Excellent judgement in recommending approaches to take in response to issues, prepares applicable documentation. 
-Good understanding of basic project coordination principles and tools.
-Good office technology skills and experience successfully navigating, using, and learning HR systems (HRIS, ATS, LMS, etc.) with ease.
-Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. 
-Strong commitment to ethics and confidentiality.
-Make good decisions and perform work independently to drive results given direction in the form of objectives, and collaborate effectively with a broader HR team and cross-functionally
-Completes all assigned compliance training and other requirements, and complies with all company policies and procedures.
-Work full-time on-site and as needed to meet business needs. May travel to other sites as needed infrequently.
 


Physical Requirements
Job is in a busy standard office environment with moderate noise level, sits at a desk during scheduled shift, uses office phone system; views a computer monitor, types on a keyboard and uses a mouse. Reads and comprehends information in electronic (computer) or paper form (written/printed).
*Sit/stand 8 or more hours per day; has the option to stand as needed while on calls; reach as needed to use office equipment
*Consistently viewing a computer screen, typing, using a keyboard and mouse
*Uses phone; head-set can be provided
*Occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 10lbs.
Education and Experience:
  
-BA/BS degree in business, human resources, or combination of education and equivalent practical experience.
-5+ years progressive professional level HR experience in a fast-paced dynamic environment including employee relations and responsibility for hiring plans and strategies.
-2+ years with direct or indirect oversight of HR staff
-Experience with application of Federal and State employment and leave laws and how they work together.

Other Information and Requirements
Performant is a government contractor. Certain client assignments for this position may require submission to and successful outcome of additional background and/or clearances throughout employment with the Company. 

-Must submit to and pass background check. Must not have any Federal or State liens resulting from County, State or Federal tax issues. 
-Must not have any current defaulted student loans.
-Must be able to pass a criminal background check; must not have any felony convictions or specific misdemeanors.
-Must submit to and pass drug screen.
